1. Spectator cuts to the Aces
This simple self-working card trick is probably one of the most easy card trick in the world. But again do not underestimate its power. It blows muggles away. Watch it first:
Performance:
Now this was done with no patter nor any presentation, in live performances it looks much better. The best thing about this trick is that it can be done totally on the spectator’s hands without the magician touching the deck from beginning til the end.
Explanation:
1. secretly setup the deck with 4 aces on top
2. put the deck on the table and ask the spectator to cut the deck in half. (track the 4 aces)
3. instruct the spectator to cut the 2 piles into 4. direct him so that the pile with 4 aces on top is on one end.
4. ask the spectator to hold the 1st pile (no aces) and perform a false mixing action which is: TRANSFER 3 cards from top to bottom then DEAL one card on each pile.
5. ask the spectator to repeat the mixing action with all the other piles. the pile with 4 aces on top should be done the last.
6. stop and speak (explain that the deck is cut and mixed up by spectator without you touching, or any other thing that increases the impacts, be creative and experiment with your patter) this is called “Time Misdirection” which would make your spectator unable to track back the steps after the effect is revealed.
7. reveal the 4 aces on the piles and address that the spectator has found 4 aces with superior skills (or say something that make people laugh and make the trick look more amazing!)
illustration:
Practise until you can do it without thinking, so you can focus on acting!
Practise, practise and practise! Even learning magic need humility. Don’t be too proud to practise a simple trick, unless you want to look like this guy…..
Proverbs 3:34
He mocks proud mockers but gives grace to the humble.
Praise Jesus.

Hi. Hi, nice site. Keep up the good work.
Good evening. Experience is that marvelous thing that enables you to recognize a mistake when you make it again.
Thanks in advance. Nerine.
I am from Faso and also now’m speaking English, tell me right I wrote the following sentence: “Blackjack, some statisticians met a sure enforce of their cards.”
